Ethics and academic integrity lessons for the 4th-6th -year students

Between February 11 - March 6, 2026, the 4th-6th-year students of integrated study programs and the 2nd-4th-year students of bachelor's programs, taught in Romanian, participated in the Ethics and Academic Integrity course. The course was held as part of the Integrity is your choice Information and Awareness Campaign, the 2nd edition, focused on strengthening academic standards. Overall, about 2200 students benefited from the training.

The course curriculum included four modules, aiming to develop the necessary skills to strengthen the culture of integrity at the university level: ethical conduct in teaching and research, prevention and sanctioning of plagiarism, good practices in the academic community, academic integrity and respect for intellectual property, risk areas and behaviors that compromise integrity and legal liability for integrity violations.

Upon completion of the training, students took standardized tests and, depending on the grade obtained, received certificates of participation, confirming completion of the training process and assumption of the principles of responsible academic conduct.

Through this initiative, Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy reaffirms its commitment to training not only high-performance specialists, but also promoters of ethical values ​​in science and education.

The course was developed under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, upon the recommendation of the European Commission, in the context of our country’ accession process to the European community. The initiative is part of the reform agenda related to the Growth Plan of the Republic of Moldova for the period 2025-2027, the Sectoral Anti-Corruption Plan in Education for the years 2025-2026, the National Development Strategy "European Moldova" and the National Development Plan for the years 2025-2027.
